Five Months to Ouray

Among the records notched this week in walking:

*forty miles in four days, see: work

*average of 7.0 miles a day or higher
for entire week, see: work

*one lost bus pass, valued at 45$ see: idiot

Speaking of idiots, we're in Ouray Colorado today! A sparklin little gem of a classic mining town, Ouray is billed as the "Switzerland of America" for its majestic snow-loaded cliffs, ice-climbing, and white people galore. It's just a wonder to me that a town with scenery like this:

can produce citizens like THIS:

But that's what life is all about, isn't it? Miracles. In more interesting news, i might actually resume my footsteps for a brief five days, as i approach Denver, Colorado. A five day stint in the snowland will almost sync up perfectly to where i'd be had i walked right there. Purposeful ambiguity for now. Facts later.

Its Been a Long Week: 53.71 miles

Total Distance Covered: 806.36 miles

Ouray, Colorado
